About me
I’m Gustavo de Moura — a Senior Machine Learning Engineer focused on computer vision, deep learning, and applied AI R&D. I enjoy taking research from paper to production: autonomous systems, intelligent agents, and tools that turn messy real-world data into something useful.
What I work on
- Computer vision — object detection, continual learning, sim-to-real domain adaptation, image enhancement.
- Autonomous systems — UAV path planning, obstacle avoidance, aerial inspection of infrastructure (Harpia).
- Intelligent agents — Monte Carlo methods for continuous-action chance-constrained MDPs (Master’s thesis).
- Document understanding — OCR pipelines for legacy industry reports and neural document enhancement.
Stack
Python · PyTorch · TensorFlow · Docker · Kubernetes · Git.
